PLO preflop charts: free solver-derived ranges

At 6-max 100bb, the solve opens 17.2% of hands from UTG and 47.4% from the button. Between those two numbers sits most of the preflop money in PLO: which starting hands play from which seat, and how the answer nearly triples as position improves. SolvePoker's preflop charts are that solve, decoded from MonkerSolver's own files, free in the browser.

What the solve actually opens

Exact open-raise widths by seat, from the same 6-max solves the charts display:

Position moves these numbers more than depth does. The button opens 2.0 times as wide as UTG at 20bb and 3.2 times as wide at 150bb. Going from 20bb to 150bb doubles the button's range but adds only about a quarter to UTG's.

The small blind plays its own game. At 100bb the solve raises 31.9% of hands from the small blind, limps 10.9% and folds the rest. The limp-heavy small-blind strategies common in live games belong to 20-30bb stacks, where the solve limps about a quarter of hands. The full depth story, seat by seat and hand class by hand class, is on the stack depth reference.

What the charts include

Every standard 6-max cash spot at eight depths from 12bb to 200bb, plus heads-up at 100bb: open-raises for every seat, 3-bets against every open, the calls in between, and 4-bet responses. Each chart is the solver's frequency-weighted range: a hand the solver raises 60% of the time shows as 60%.

The PLO4 hand rankings order every hand class by equity against one random hand, a showdown number that knows nothing about seat or stack depth. The range frequencies reference shows what an opening or 3-bet range is made of.

How to study them

Pick the seat you play most and learn its open range first. For most online players that is the button or cutoff. Spend your attention on the borderline hands - you already know A-A-x-x opens and 7-3-2-2 rainbow folds, and the EV difference lives in the hands that are close. Then connect preflop to postflop: the free board lookups show how the ranges you just studied actually play on specific flops, which is where the reasoning behind each chart becomes visible.

Free, no account

All preflop charts and three rotating postflop boards are free in the browser, no account or credit card. A free account adds one flop of your choice each day with five reusable turn/river cards, practice streaks, and a 50-hand daily practice meter.
